Keynote Speaker

Deaf DJ Nico DiMarco

Nico DiMarco

Deaf DJ Nico DiMarco will be joining us to share his life story, including his experience with interpreters before leading us into a fun-filled evening and dancing.

Nico DiMarco is a third generation Deaf person born in Queens, NY. Even though he is profoundly Deaf, Nico has loved music since he was a child-learning and memorizing the beats of popular radio music on long car trips with his family. In college at Gallaudet University in Washington DC, he became the go-to person for music, often plugging in his iPod to a speaker during parties. This made him realize that becoming a professional DJ was possible for him. At that time, he juggled a rigorous college curriculum in Information Technology, part-time work, and fraternity involvement but decided his passion for music needed to be shared. So he began learning how to DJ.  Since his first gig in 2010, he has gained popularity and traveled all over the world to perform-10 countries so far with more in the near future. Although his day job is as an Information Technology Specialist for the Federal Government, DJing and getting crowds to dance is his true passion. With Deaf DJ Nico DiMarco, you’ll never have a dull moment and you will learn you shouldn’t underestimate someone with a ‘disability’, because the talent that exists in the community will blow your mind.

(Bass hall, Fort Worth Stockyards, the downtown skyline, etc.) The TSID Logo remains displayed in the bottom right corner throughout the video. The TSID Logo consists of white letters surrounded by a black horseshoe with the opening at the top: “TSID Conference Celebrating 60 years of excellence, 2024 Fort Worth, Texas.
