Putting Consecutive Interpreting Into Your Practice
This workshop is for working interpreters and students alike who are interested in learning more about consecutive interpreting and how they can apply it to their everyday work. The workshop is a combination of lecture and hands on learning activities using English and ASL videos to simulate short and long consecutive interpreting practice. Participants will look at the differences between consecutive and simultaneous along with the cognitive skills necessary to effectively perform consecutive interpreting work. Some discussion annd opportunity to practice note taking in consecutive will provided.
