Gestures? Classifiers? Huh??
The presentation titled, "Gestures? Classifiers? Huh??" will focus on two aspect of interpretation. The first aspect is to incorporate classifers into his/her ASL interpretation. The second aspect is to process classifiers into appropriate spoken English. Many interpreters struggle with this concept and do not attempt to use this important grammatical feature in their interpretation process. They also do now know how to convert a signed story infused with classifiers into appropriate spoken English. Conducted in ASL, this workshop will help build their confidence in their ability to use more classifiers and process those classifiers into spoken English.
