Amy Benner is a senior Rehabilitation Counselor for the Deaf with the Division of Rehabilitative Services where she manages a caseload that has served over 7,000 deaf and hard of hearing clients statewide. Previously, she served as the DRS liaison to Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf Advisory Board. She has a B.A. in psychology from Texas State University and a M.A. in counseling from Gallaudet University. Prior to DRS, Ms. Benner was a school counselor at two residential schools and is a nationally certified counselor. Ms. Benner is an alumna of the Texas DRS Leadership Academy.
