"Medical emergencies can happen at any time, in any setting. People are injured in situations like falls or motor-vehicle accidents, or they develop sudden illnesses, such as heart attacks or strokes. A high percentage of these attacks happen outside of hospitals. The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac and breathing emergencies. This 3 hour workshop will teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Participants will earn .3 medical CEUs. Additionally, if participants wish to obtain an American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED certification, there will be a $40 fee and a separate skills assessment session that will be scheduled with the presenter during the conference weekend. Presenter can be emailed at email@example.com for addition information or to book your session day and time"
