Chris Moreland is a near-native Texan and an internal medicine hospitalist and assistant professor at the University of Texas (UT) Health Science Center at San Antonio. He obtained an M.D. in 2005 from the UT Houston Medical School. At the University of California, Davis, he completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2008 and his postdoctoral General Internal Medicine fellowship in 2010. Among his interests are patient-physician communication and the reduction of health disparities relating to the deaf and limited English proficient communities. He also enjoys contributing to health care education, particularly that of interpreters and deaf and hard of hearing health professionals.
