Doug works with Texas’ Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services as the Outreach Development Specialist after 35+ years in the field of deafness. He also serves as an officer on the Board of Directors for the American Foundation for the Elderly Deaf, which has as its main project, LaVista Retirement Center for the Deaf in San Marcos. He holds BEI III/CIC and is the 2011 recipient of ADARA’s Boyce R. Williams award in recognition of his contributions towards the rehabilitation of and services to persons who are deaf/hard of hearing.
