Currently residing in Austin, Texas, Sonja has been a interpreting on and off for over a decade.  She holds a BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a focus in Deaf Education from Baylor University.  She has been interpreting full time since 2007, and has interpreted in a wide variety of settings including medical, trainings, and national conferences.  Her interests include semantic analysis of health care discourse and interpreter education pedagogy.
