Sylvia Hardman-Dingle has served as the General Counsel, Director of Legal Services, and the ethics advisor for the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services since 2004. Prior to the consolidation of several service agencies into DARS in 2004, Mrs. Hardman-Dingle served as the Deputy Commissioner for Legal Services, General Counsel and ethics advisor for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission (TRC) from 1998-2004.  Mrs. Hardman-Dingle worked as a staff attorney in the fraud unit of the Texas Department of Insurance for two years and an assistant attorney general in the Tax Division at the Office of the Attorney General for six years.
