This panel discussion will address the use of social media by professional sign language interpreters and its impact on how the public and consumers perceive them. It will use introduce an analysis tool of ethical behavior to guide sign language interpreters in determining what type of information should and should not be shared on this platform.. The Code of Professional Conduct will be reviewed and key tenets/principles will be elaborated on as they relate specifically to current trends of behavior in the profession.
