Workshop

Audience members who are hard of hearing/late deafened if you do not work with the technology made available to/used by them or if communication assistance such as CART is not provided can misunderstood/miss your sign-to-voice work.  You are there as an auxiliary aid and not knowing the ins and outs of this can cause the entity employing/using your services not meet their compliance standards under the ADA, thus being a liability for your employer or yourself.  This hands-on informative and fun filled workshop will help you ensure greater communication access to those who are deaf and hard of hearing in compliance with several tenets within the Code of Professional Conduct (CPC).
