Scot A Pott was born deaf to a hearing family and attended mainstream schools. He received his Bachelor degree from Gallaudet University and his Master degree from UT- Houston. He has been teaching ASL and Deaf Culture/History for over 20 years and is currently teaching at the University of Houston.
