Presenter

Alena was born to deaf parents in the Houston area and is active with the Interpreters with Deaf Parents SIG committee. Alena worked for the State of Texas for 9 years before becoming a freelance sign language interpreter in the Austin area. She has previously presented on the topics of ethics and testing.  Along with volunteering, she spends her free time coaching others in obtaining certification.
