Kecha Ray has a BS in Communication Disorders from Lamar University and is completing an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of North Texas. She has held BEI certification since 2003. She was an interpreter at local colleges for 3 years, and as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for consumers with hearing loss for 6 years. She now works for Communication Axcess Ability Group as Deafness Resource Specialist covering region 5. This project is a funded through DARS Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services and assists consumers who are deaf and hard of hearing in areas of advocacy.
