Presenter

Kareena N. Heath received a CSC from RID in 1979.  She graduated with a MA degree in 1980 from CSU Northridge.  Her interpreting experience includes medical appointments and a variety of court venues.  Ms. Heath has presented workshops including ASL Linguistics, registers, Demand Control Schema, mental health and religious interpreting.  She has worked at community colleges and a university teaching ASL and interpreting classes.  Currently, Ms. Heath works at Sign Shares as a staff interpreter and apprentice mentor assisting newly certified interpreters in providing excellent customer service and blossoming into the best interpreters they can be.
