Defining the Role of the Interpreter (Sponsored by Sorenson Communications)

This workshop will introduce participants to basic concepts related to translation and interpreting.  It will provide information about the role of the interpreter, interpreter ethics, and standards of practice.  Participants will engage in discussions about culture, the use of interpreters, what clients expect and the laws that requiere the use of interpreters.  This wokshop will be presented in both Spoken English and Spoken Spanish.
