Torts, Amicus, and Habeus Corpus - Interpreting Legalese and ASL

This presentation will engage the audience with commonly used legal jargon and work through definitions and concepts to assist interpreters for optimal interpretation. Terms from both criminal and civil areas will be explored, as well as from various areas and aspects of law including but not limited to: administrative law, bankruptcy, civil rights, depositions, evictions, family law, garnishments, and more!
